1. About Us
LJC Electrical provides professional electrical services across domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Quotations & Acceptance
- All quotations are valid unless stated otherwise
- Acceptance (written, email, or verbal instruction) forms a binding agreement
- Quotes are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if site conditions differ
3. Scope of Works
All work will be carried out:
- In line with agreed specifications
- To current UK regulations (including BS 7671 where applicable)
- Using suitable materials and industry-standard practices
Any additional work outside the agreed scope may incur extra charges.
4. Pricing & Payment
- Deposits may be required before work begins
- Payment terms will be clearly stated on invoices
- Late payments may result in:
- Interest charges in line with UK legislation
- Recovery of associated costs
- All materials remain the property of LJC Electrical until paid in full
5. Variations & Additional Work
Where unforeseen issues arise (e.g. hidden faults or site changes), we will:
- Inform you before proceeding
- Provide updated costs where applicable
6. Access & Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe and clear access to the work area
- Inform us of any hazards (e.g. asbestos, structural concerns)
- Ensure other trades do not interfere with our work
Delays caused by access issues may incur additional charges.
7. Timescales
Timeframes are estimated based on current information.
We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including:
- Supplier delays
- Site conditions
- Third-party contractors
8. Materials & Equipment
- All supplied materials will meet UK standards
- Equivalent alternatives may be used if required
- We cannot guarantee or warranty client-supplied materials
9. Warranty
- Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products
- Warranty does not cover:
- Misuse or damage after installation
- Alterations by third parties
10. Certification
Where applicable, we will issue relevant certification (e.g. EIC, Minor Works, EICR).
Certificates will be provided once full payment has been received.
11. Cancellations
- Cancellations must be made in writing
- Charges may apply for:
- Work already completed
- Materials purchased
- Time allocated
Deposits may be non-refundable.
12. Liability
We take reasonable care in all work carried out. However, we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing issues
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Damage caused by factors outside our control
13. Health & Safety
All works are carried out in accordance with UK health and safety regulations.
Clients must not create unsafe working conditions or interfere with ongoing work.
14. Making Good
Unless agreed in writing, we do not include:
- Plastering
- Decorating
- Cosmetic finishes
15. Insurance
We hold appropriate public liability insurance.
Details are available upon request.
16. Data Protection
We handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR and will only use it for:
- Providing services
- Communication
- Processing payments
17. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our control.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
19. Updates
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
